IET Summit 2019 Registration

Study Queensland is pleased to bring the third International Education and Training Summit to Brisbane this year. With the theme "Changing the Narrative", the Summit will feature high level discussion on global trends and opportunities; new and novel ways of positioning the State internationally in creating a new narrative for Queensland International Education and Training. 

The Summit will open with a Welcome Reception on the evening of Tuesday 25 June at QUT Room Three Sixty, followed by a full day program held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 26 June.

When the registration process is complete, you will receive a registration acknowledgement via your nominated email. The email will also include a personalised link which will allow you to edit and make any changes to your registration details prior to the Summit. Please store your confirmation email and personalised link in a secure place.

Summit Registration

Your registration includes attendance to the IET Summit sessions and post Summit networking drinks on Wednesday 26 June, as well as a ticket to the Welcome Reception on Tuesday 25 June.
Breakout Sessions

The IET Summit 2019 program on Wednesday 26 June will feature breakout sessions in the morning (from 11.00am - 12.00pm) and in the afternoon (from 3:00pm - 4:00pm). There are three sessions to choose from in the morning and four in the afternoon. Please read the summary of each session below and select the sessions you will be attending on the day.

Morning Sessions (11:00am - 12:00pm)


Australia's Generation Z are predicted to work 17 jobs, across 5 careers within their lifetime, according to research by McCrindle (2016). With such uncertainty and fluidity in their future employment realities, it is more important than ever that young people develop their entrepreneurial mindset.

What does it take to develop and support an entrepreneurial mindset in young people so they can acquire skills such as collaboration, intellectual curiosity and risk-taking? Join Study Queensland's Innovators in Residence as they unpack ways Queensland can leverage innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset to develop a state-wide employability strategy.


Vocational education and training (VET) has delivered great outcomes for students and society, yet it still has reputational issues on quality and value.

How can the VET sector introduce systems that incentivise excellence to create a more positive narrative for VET? This panel will explore quality systems including ASQA's Raising the Bar project.



Afternoon Sessions (3.00pm - 4:00pm)


Global Insights

These panel sessions will each take a deep dive into key international markets with Queensland state government and sector experts.


 

Pre-Conference Welcome Reception, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Tuesday 25 June


The Welcome Reception will be held on the evening of Tuesday 25 June at Room Three Sixty, QUT Gardens Point Campus. Your registration includes entry to the event, however for catering purposes please confirm your attendance below.

Post-Summit Networking Drinks, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Wednesday 26 June


Post-summit networking drinks will be held at the conclusion of the Summit at TAFE Queensland, Southbank Campus on Wednesday 26 June. Your registration includes entry to the event, however for catering purposes please confirm your attendance below.
