To ensure that your visit to Brisbane and the experience of the conference is as enjoyable as possible, here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions which will hopefully provide you with all the information you need.

We encourage you to read through this before you attend. Please contact us if you have a question that we haven’t answered.

Where is the conference being held?

Host venue is the Sofitel Brisbane Central, 249 Turbot Street, Brisbane. 

Is there car parking available?

Car parking is available for hotel guests and is located under the hotel. An additional cost is payable if hotels guests wish to use the car park. Access to the car park is from Turbot Street.

How do I get from the airport?

20-minute drive from Brisbane Airport by a rental car, taxi or Uber.
25 minutes by train from Brisbane Airport to Central Station. To book an AirTrain ticket, please click HERE

What is the dress code?

Casual Business attire is suitable for the conference & welcome reception. 

After five wear is recommended for the gala dinner

Where do I register for the conference on arrival?

The registration desk location will be shared closer to the event. Please direct any questions you may have regarding registration, session attendance or other elements of the conference to Essential Experiences staff at this desk.

General Enquiries Desk Opening Hours will be shared closer to the event.

Will a conference app be available?

A Conference App will be available to download for iOS and Android. The app will contain all the information with regards to the conference and the program. If you have difficulties downloading/navigating the app, please see Essential Experiences staff at the registration desk.

Photography & Videography

Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker. 

A photographer/videographer will be at the conference, if you have any issues with being photographed, please notify the photographer or Essential Experiences staff.

It may be possible to purchase a recording post conference. Further details on this will be advised.

Where can I find a list of delegates?

A delegate list will be available via the Mobile App. Printed delegate lists will not be available at the conference. If you had selected privacy required when completing your registration form, your name will not appear on the list.

Insurance?

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. 

The insurance should cover loss arising from the cancellation of the conference by the organisers or a person’s inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. No responsibility is taken by the conference managers for any person not holding insurance.

Are special diets catered for?

If you have advised us of any special dietary requirements during the registration process, the caterers will have been provided these. A special buffet table will be set during the day for special diets. Please inform wait staff at the welcome reception & gala dinner of your requirement. If you are unsure, please see venue staff.

How do I book accommodation?

Accommodation is not included with the conference registration and must be booked separately. Please refer to the accommodation tab of this website to book direct.
